Recently, students from our school stepped out of the classroom to take part in an industry exploration activity organised under the “Job Bridge” Career Planning Programme by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. The activity marked students’ first hands-on career exploration experience, with photography as the central theme.
Through professional guidance and practical engagement, students gained an overview of various photography sectors, learned about essential skills and the operation of professional equipment, and were introduced to basic photo editing tools and techniques.
The programme also included a group-based photography challenge, during which students worked collaboratively to plan themes and capture images on site. They subsequently shared their work and exchanged feedback, creating an interactive and engaging learning atmosphere.
This activity enabled students to develop a more concrete understanding of the photography profession and helped spark interest in related career pathways, providing valuable insights to support future academic and career planning.
