Qingdao Exploration Tour: Sports Culture and Marine Science & Technology

Earlier, our students took part in the “Qingdao Sports Culture and Marine Technology Exploration Tour” organized by the Education Bureau, embarking on a wonderful five-day, four-night study journey. Upon stepping into the Ocean University of China, the profound academic atmosphere and modern scientific research environment immediately captivated them. During the exchange sessions, they not only learned about the nation’s cutting-edge technologies in marine exploration and ecological protection, but also developed a strong curiosity about the “blue territory.”

The students then visited the Olympic Sailing Museum, where precious Olympic relics and historical photographs vividly recreated the heroic spirit of the athletes who braved the waves during the 2008 Olympic sailing events. Standing in the exhibition hall, the students felt as if they were personally experiencing that indomitable sporting spirit.

The itinerary also emphasized “entering the community.” Students conducted field studies at Qingdao’s top sports facilities and visited the famous Sports Street to carry out street interviews. With questionnaires in hand, they enthusiastically engaged with local residents, discussing their daily exercise habits. The residents’ vitality, healthy lifestyles, and passion for sports deeply inspired the students.

This journey not only enriched their knowledge of marine technology, but also gave them a profound understanding of how sports integrate into daily life and strengthen community bonds—truly a rewarding experience!
